Lamb’s Conduit Street
Lethbridge London were asked by Ben Pentreath Ltd to carry out the building & decorating work to transform this derelict building into a wonderful office extension for their expanding architectural practice.
The building had been damaged internally from years of cheap additions leaving a dysfunctional set of rooms behind. The whole building was stripped back to the perimeter walls, damp proofed & insulated. Some of the existing blockwork was found to be unsafe so this was rebuilt. A new roof was installed and sealed with liquid plastics & lead flashing. The building was rewired, the failed skylights replaced, air conditioning introduced and new joinery fitted. The new layout, which includes a main office, meeting room, WC, shower room, cloakroom, kitchen and plant room now provides a light, airy and practical space.
"Lethbridge London have worked with us on numerous high end residential refurbishment projects and most recently have carried out our extensive office refurbishment and extension. As always, they have been a pleasure to deal with, prompt, polite, and always reasonable. They have dealt very well with the complexities of the project which included issues such as difficult neighbours, existing damp issues, working carefully around an office which was still in use etc. The level of finish has been excellent as ever, and Lethbridge have been accommodating of any design amendments requested during the project. We highly recommend Lethbridge London for projects of a similar nature."
